The business has a strong growth trajectory and now requires an experienced, dynamic, hands-on new business sales leader.

A pivotal member of the group sales team this role will report directly to the General Manager Sales & Marketing. The role will lead a regional key account and business development team responsible for developing tier one national sales opportunities and channelling partnerships to develop and activate profitable new business and customers and to manage, retain and grow business with existing customers.

Your broad responsibilities will include: leading and developing a regional business development team, develop and maintain strategic business relationships with key stakeholders within major accounts, lead and direct regional sales pipeline activities for key account prospects and the creation of customer specific strategies to develop profitable new business. In addition, you will actively partner with customers to identify and implement innovative and mutually beneficial solutions, coordinate and prepare major tenders and conducting market mapping and trend analysis ensuring optimal market intelligence.

The organisation is looking to an experienced sales / business development leader who will demonstrate effective and constructive leadership behaviours at all times and mentor and develop their team, identify and introduce efficiencies and best practice sales and business development strategies.

To be considered the preferred candidate for this role your career will have extensive experience in strategic level sales, leading a geographically dispersed team within a multi-site environment. An exposure to ‘hire’ business’ is preferred however exposure to high transactional, logistically challenging environments is essential. Formal education and qualifications are mandatory.
