The organisation now requires an experienced Business Development Coordinator.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager the Business Development Coordinator is a key influence in the organisation. The main responsibilities include, developing new business opportunities and water-related initiatives that deliver value. Facilitation of new investments in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area to increase water and network utilisation and to improve network utilisation efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
In this role, you will be required to utilise your high-level commercial, technical and communication acumen to initiate and realise business development opportunities for Murrumbidgee Irrigation and its customers. In addition to business opportunities and water-related initiatives, you will be accountable for the proposal, investigation and implementation of new water-based products to increase value to customers.
You will have demonstrated sales and customer service experience along with leading and monitoring customer projects and implementations. Excellent communication skills are a necessity, as you will be consulting across the business and with external stakeholders to assess development opportunities.
To be successful you will ideally have water industry knowledge and experience in irrigation networks, tertiary qualification and background in the agribusiness and related field will be highly regarded. Demonstrated knowledge of risks and safe work procedures (WHS), with a demonstrated ability to initiate and execute business opportunities, to prepare and present project briefs and business cases with strong advocacy and negotiation skills for key initiatives.
