The organisation now requires an experienced Environmental Planning Manager.
Reporting to the General Manager – Asset Delivery, The Environmental Planning Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and managing systems, programs and initiatives that will achieve Murrumbidgee Irrigation Environmental objectives and compliance activities. A key part of this role will be to Develop and maintain EMS and related processes aligned with ISO14001principles and create processes for reporting. The Environmental Planning Manager will be responsible for building a high performing and motivated team through setting objectives aligned to organisational goals, identifying and removing barriers to individual performance, providing regular and constructive feedback and recognising positive results and behaviour
This is a key and influential role, and requires an ability to negotiate and influence as well as demonstrated experience in leading and managing change. You will have demonstrated project and contract management experience along with leading and monitoring compliance programs and licencing regulations. Excellent communication with all levels of stakeholders and the ability to create channels of communication and promote increased awareness of Environmental matters. Additionally you will be required to identify potential risks to and develop contingency and succession plans.
A demonstrated ability in safety and environmental management and planning, including experience of HSE Management Systems along with tertiary qualifications with a relevant post graduate qualification in safety/environmental/ agricultural/QA field or similar will be highly regarded. Additionally knowledge of WHS and water industry regulations and legislation and experience in project management and a business focus to identify and recommend potential commercial opportunities is required to be successful.
