Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Project Director has arisen with a leading global engineering services organisation. Our client’s typical projects include all forms of rail operations in both metro and regional areas.

Reporting to the Program Manager the Deputy Project Director will be responsible for all project aspects as the ‘on the ground lead’. This role will ensure all components/sub-functions are aligned, connected and in unison to ensure successful delivery of all projects. In addition, the key accountabilities of the Deputy Project Director will be to troubleshoot issues, risk management and report effectively to senior management and other stakeholders on progress/status updates. You will also be accountable for the direction, supervision and motivation of project personnel, employed trades, labour, and sub contractors.

To be successful in this role, you will have a comprehensive signalling and systems background with demonstrated ETCS Level 2experience.  

You must be focus driven, analytical and have effective communication skills with a proven record of accomplishment with bringing projects in on time and within budget; and the ability to build strong and lasting relationship with stakeholders.
