The business has a strong growth trajectory and now requires an experienced, dynamic, Sales leader to drive sales and customer management activities across Central and Northern Queensland.
This Gladstone based role presents an outstanding opportunity reporting to the General Manager – Sales and Marketing, and as part of the Sales Leadership Team in planning, development and implementation of sales, account management and business development strategies across the Qld Region.
As the Regional Sales Manager you will be required to direct, plan, monitor and report on all aspects of regional sales activities for Central and Northern Queensland providing hands-on leadership and coaching. Specific responsibilities will be to: lead, develop, mentor and motivate the sales team to ensure capability to manage growth and operational challenges; identify, convert and allocate new sales opportunities within the scope of the business plan and annual revenue target; assist with the formulation of the strategic business plan for the Region and integrate this with the operational and capital expenditure functions of the business; develop relationships with new customers; provide technical and pricing support to Sales, Customer Service and Operational staff where required and monitor commercial performance in accordance with the budget.
It is critical you have outstanding influencing and communication skills across all stakeholder groups with ability and desire to lead, coach and develop talent within a sales team. Throughout your career you will readily demonstrate active involvement in developing and mentoring sales teams that have led to the profitable growth of business segments.
You will clearly have the ability to quickly contribute to the sales leadership group, work with other functional heads in establishing compelling business models to support customers and quickly build an in-depth knowledge of the asset base and service potential. Your track record will demonstrate an ability to set sales and business development growth targets and build capability around people, systems and processes.
To be the successful candidate for this role your career will have extensive experience in sales management in leasing, industrial, construction or related industry. An exposure to ‘industrial services’ or ‘hire’ business’ is preferred however exposure to high transactional, logistically challenging environments is essential.
