Our client is one of Australia’s leading environmental, waste management, and industrial services providers, servicing heavy industries, such as mining, construction and the oil and gas sectors, from solid and liquid wastes to resource recovery and recycling. This company works closely with government agencies and councils alike, to build better, cleaner communities throughout the country with over 80 facilities, a workforce of more than 1500 to service 30,000 customers nationally. To support the growth of the business, they now require a Commercial Business Partner to provide commercial insight and analysis and assist the company to achieve overall organisational goals.
This position is critical to the business as they will partner with broad stakeholders and regional management to improve price yield across the Strategic Business Unit. The Commercial Business Partner will be responsible for providing financial modelling and analysis, to understand market trends and variances including rate and volume analyses to support the delivery of top line growth along with the preparation of pricing models as required. Your background will have a proven financial and commercial experience in a complex, diverse, multi-site business, and be able to ensure accurate development and monitoring of budgets and skills to influence P/L performance.
This role requires a strong ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders, communicate complex financial information in a concise, non-technical manner, implement and maintain appropriate internal/financial controls to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting is achieved.
You will have applicable financial knowledge and be able to demonstrate experience in consolidation of results, financial and management accounting, audit, taxation and corporate financing with a good working knowledge of business systems and processes in order to optimise and simplify business processes utilising technology.
With appropriate tertiary and CA or CPA qualifications you should also demonstrate exceptional communication skills and be a team player who is able to seamlessly integrate across all levels of the organisation. You will have proven ability with financial analysis, business insights, decision making, accountability and contribute tactically and strategically with a high level of intellectual rigour, energy, and passion in what you undertake. Exposure to waste management or industrial service providers will be highly regarded.
