The Hunter Valley Coal Chain Coordinator (HVCCC) is a member funded, independent, one-of-its kind logistics organisation that coordinates the planning, scheduling and live run of the Hunter Valley Coal Chain. Through its unique end-to-end system view, HVCCC provides members with insights, advice and analysis to improve efficiency and maximise their value from the shared infrastructure of the Hunter Valley Coal Chain. Their purpose is working together to lead collaboration and innovate for the best imaginable supply chain.
For HVCCC to achieve its mission the Capacity Planning Manager will play a key and influential role in delivering the organisation’s Strategic Plan. Your strong performance will play a critical leadership role supporting the development of both infrastructure and operational options which enable coal supply chain participants to achieve cost effective maximum throughput. Your success with allow the industry to meet the delivery of contracts and their collective needs.
A key focus of your role will influence policy and strategy within HVCCC, develop concepts and lead decision making that positively impact the longer term operation of the coal chain. You will execute effective outcomes for HVCCC members and will be comfortable and experienced in operating in highly complex multi stakeholder environments. You will be a key sponsor of continuous improvement internally and across industry. Your critical thinking and influencing will actively lead and contribute to improved decision making by members.
To be an effective and successful leader in this role you will have exceptional communication, engagement and influencing skills with the ability to break down complex technical challenges into a common language, delivering industry - wide innovative solutions. Your career history will have a strong exposure to combining strategic thinking with compelling ‘hands on’ operational leadership supported by clear evidence of leading high performing teams. It is expected you will have had exposure to and enhanced strategy of higher order ‘modelling’ and technology enabled solutions.
It is essential you possess tertiary qualifications, ideally in logistics, engineering or business with a proven track record of leadership, implementing transformational change and developing strategic relationships within dynamic and complex operating environments.
